When I entered the music industry via the tech world in 2010, my career path took pop music—something I secretly loved—and turned it into, quite frankly, uninspiring work. This is why I’ve come up with RIP Pop: a continuous exploration of the ‘death’ of ‘good’ music, to encourage my passion to come alight again. Click on the tab above to explore the concept further. As for my current career trajectory…
I’ve gone from laptops to labour as I explore the Skilled Trades sector within the province of Ontario. After working for a major corporation in Social Media Marketing for over five years, I am now looking to build relationships with non-profits, as well as get my foot in the door of Canada’s legal medicinal cannabis market.
As a pre-apprentice at Building Up Toronto, I was given the chance to explore which side of the trades I want to pursue. I am now looking to become a General Contractor after I put in the time & labour into the industry, specifically in the nonprofit sector and possibly honed in on heritage-grade renovation. The skills I’ve gained during my time with Building Up include: demo, rough carpentry, drywall finishing, window installation, and Novitherm application.
Feel free to reach me at hello@rippopmusic.com. I’d love to hear a testimonial from a person in trades with life experience similar to mine, a request to meet up for coffee, or anything else you can think of.
Let’s build something together!
